Bed bug cases are on the rise. New infestations are reported across the U.S. each day, with major metropolitan areas at the center of most outbreaks. The reason? Because bed bugs travel in suitcases and on clothing from one city to the next, and make their final homes in the beds, furniture and closets of unsuspecting victims.
If you need bed bug treatment, Orkin will treat your home with a multi-step, science-backed process. Each service is tailored to the specific problems of each customer.
Like Orkin’s other services, bed bug treatment follows three basic steps:
Initial Inspection
This inspection allows your Orkin inspector to determine the location and extent of your bed bug problem. He’ll look within bedding and mattresses, around furniture, behind picture frames and in adjoining rooms that may be affected.
Treatment
Due to bed bugs’ adaptability and small size, a single treatment rarely eliminates an infestation entirely. Most customers need 3-4 treatments from a specially trained bed bugs exterminator for complete removal. Your Orkin Pro may use a variety of treatments, including liquid or heat, and will adjust treatments between visits if necessary.
Follow-Up and Prevention
Your Orkin bed bugs treatment technician will keep coming back until all visible signs of bed bugs are gone. At your final visit, he’ll give you tips and information on how you can prevent new outbreaks from occurring.
